Ms. Malika Khaliq participated in a competition of innovative teachers organized by "Taleemi Jiddat Ki Talaash" and "Teach for Pakistan". With the grace of Allah she was chosen as one of the best 15 teachers out of 1200 participants and one of those 5 best teachers whose teaching has been video-recorded by a team from Karachi. This will be included in the "Innovations Guidebook" which will be distributed nationwide for the benefit of the teachers and educators across Pakistan. Ms. Malika is one of the senior, well qualified and professionally committed teachers of LIMS.

The team spent full day at our school, interviewed the Director , Ms. Malika, students and three parents including Ms. Rukhsana Abbas, Ms. Maryam Irfan and Ms. Sadia Ali. Visiting them from Karachi led by Mr. Muneeb Khan was greatly appreciative of the good discipline , participative learning, confidence and good behavior of students.

With special blessings of Allah once again, two of our students, Furqan Abbas of Class X of LIMS Boys Branch & Malaika Sajid of Class IX of LIMS Girls Branch, after multiple rounds of interviews got selected for the Kenedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program 2015-2016. Heartiest congratulations to parents and teachers of both the students. All of them deserve appreciation, but special thanks go to all those teachers and management team members who contributed with great interest in the coaching of these students. However Malaika Sajid could not earn parental approval for travelling abroad at this tender age, therefore, only Furqan Abbas will be benefitting from this prestigious scholarship.

As the recipient of the K-L YES scholarship, Furqan will have the opportunity to study for one academic year in a US High School from August 2015 to June 2016.Scholarship will cover his traveling to and from USA, cost of studies and all living expenses.

Furqan is a pure LIMS product, having studied at LIMS from Pre Nursery to Class X. He had not only been an outstanding student but an active participant of all sports & co-curricular activities throughout his stay at LIMS. He topped all Examinations and had been winning numerous prizes in academics and co-curricular activities. Furqan served as Chief Captain of LIMS Boys Branch this year and was the Deputy House Captain of Abu Bakar House last year. Due to his strong academic record, leadership qualities, obedience, respect for School Rules and Regulations and helpful nature, he got selected as Class Captain multiple times. Students like Furqan are an asset of any institution and a pride for the family and teachers. Our special congratulations go to Furqan, his family, friends and teachers. We wish him Good Luck with his studies at USA and best wishes for a bright future

A LIMS Alumni Faraz Ahmed Khan has done proud to school by winning Phil Byrne Prize 2011, awarded by the Northumbria University, New Castle, UK for the best presented project in MS Microelectronics and Communication Engineering. Faraz is the 1st Pakistani to win this Award. Faraz Ahmed Khan was not only an outstanding student, Deputy Captain and later the House Captain of Ali house at LIMS. In his final year at LIMS he had won the ‘Best All Rounder Student’ Award, which is granted to students who excel both in academics and co curricular activities along with notably good behaviour throughout their stay at school.

The track of passed out students of LIMS is kept, as regards their performance and level of achievement in the Colleges/ Universities of their choice. The recent feather in the cap of the institute is the achievement of two ex students. Ms. Sarah Catar and Ms. Sadia Rasool have done proud to LIMS and to their families. Sarah, studying at Edwards College Peshawar, has won a Gold Medal for her outstanding academic excellence and for standing first in 3rd year of Computer Science Group at the college. She also was lucky to receive a laptop from Mr. Shahbaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of the province of Punjab, Pakistan, for securing 5th Position in F.Sc Computer Science group of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar.

Another student, Ms. Sadia Rasool stood 3rd in the B.Sc Examination, at the Frontier Women University, Peshawar. She specialised in the subjects of Botany, Zoology, and Geography. On 1st June, 2012, in the Morning Assembly, both brilliant students were given a cash prize of Rs.3000/- each by the Director LIMS, Dr. Salma Masood Khan. They as role models, addressed students of junior classes and all girls of the Girl, to motivate and inspire them for excellence at present and in future.
