LIMS, a top quality English Medium Secondary institution, with attached Primary and Kindergarten sections has spacious purpose built premises spread over 7½ Kanals, and is located in Hayatabad, the most serene and modern locality of Peshawar, Pakistan. Since its establishment in 1989, it has been ideally catering for the educational and personality development needs of girls and boys of Class Reception to Class X. It has co educational Primary Section, and separate Girls and boys sections from Class VI to X.

LIMS was started by Ms. Meraj Humanyun Khan in a rented building on School Road, University Town in April 1987. Four year old Hina Inayat was the first student and Ms. Sitwat and Ms. Marina were the first teachers. Work on the construction of the present building was started in March 1990, and a shifting from University Town was effected in September 1990. Under the management of Meraj H. Khan supported by a core team of highly professional teachers the school soon earned itself a good reputation for excellence and innovation not only in academics but all around development of pupils. The rich environment inside the classrooms and out in the grounds earned praise and compliments from parents, visitors, professionals and educationists.

The management changed hands in October 1998, when Ms. Meraj Humanyun Khan entered into a partnership with Ms. Salma Masood Khan, who bought fifty per cent shares and assumed responsibility as Director, and the institution was named as LIMS (Learning Institute by Meraj and Salma). Ms.  Salma Masood Khan with her 13 years long rich experience of Principals-hip of Beaconhouse School System Peshawar, with her international qualifications and support of dedicated and highly qualified teachers took the institution to admirable heights. Student centred modern methodologies; professional input and hard work of devoted teachers for the education and all-round development of personalities of students enabled the institution develop both qualitatively and quantitatively. This persistent growth and par excellence standards earned local, national and international repute, certified by the prestigious award, the ISA (international School Award) issued by the British Council’s Head office at London UK in 2011.

The main strengths of LIMS, which set it apart from other institutions are provision of top quality education in well resourced environment, with an affordable fee structure, its emphasis on activity based learning methods, individualized attention to all students, guidance and counseling services, with special focus on character building and confidence development. It provides culturally sensitive, religiously sound, and academically conducive learning environment to girls and boys of three plus to fifteen years of age. It is a pleasure to share that LIMS is the only "twice winner of International Scholarship" awarded by the Ministery of Education Islamabad, where at FUkuoka Japan one of our students had won the Junior Peace Ambassador Award 2003, for five years.

With the blessings of Allah LIMS has won 3 highly prestigious International School Awards 2019 from the British Council as per following details:

LIMS Girls Branch:         Full ISA Award

LIMS Boys Branch:         Full ISA Award

LIMS Primary Branch:    Full ISA Award

British Council management has greatly appreciated the graciously evidenced, high standard, national cum international work of all three branches of LIMS.
